The Miracle of Erin & The Canal Boat
Our oldest daughter Isabella had recently brought home some outdoor activity homework on nature and wildlife.
On Wednesday 9th October Isabella asked if we could go for a walk on the canal to see what wildlife she could find to write about in her homework book.
It was a nice evening and it sounded like a great idea, so we got ready and walked to the canal.
We started walking (and running!) down the canal and quickly spotted some ducks.
Whilst we were walking down the canal, our the girls had stopped to take a photo and write about a worm they had found under some wood. As I was taking in the beautiful views I noticed the name of this canal boat:
It immediately made me think of my cousin Erin, who lives on the other side of the world and who I’ve not seen for many, many years. With now living in awe and wonder having developed faith during 2019, I really felt this was a sign from God that I should re-connect with my cousin.
I then started to wonder whether God is going to give me another sign of something I should be thinking about or doing. We started walking down the canal again, and my eyes started to focus on the next canal boat we were walking towards.
When I could read the name of the canal boat I just stopped, open-mouthed.
I made this short video of the experience.
So yes, my cousin who I’ve not seen for years, Erin, lives in Sydney.
As it turned it was a stunningly beautiful evening and sunset too.
