From Wounds to Glory - The Restoration of a Warrior

Shared by glory carrier Richard Elias James on Facebook 25th January 2025

I had a dream that left an imprint on my soul, a vision so powerful that I could feel the weight of its message deep within me. In this dream, I saw a woman—a daughter of God—walking on her knees up a rugged mountainside. Her body was bruised, her clothes soiled and torn, stained with the dust of many battles. Her feet were beautiful yet deeply scarred, covered in the mud of past struggles as if each step had cost her something. Her journey was marked by pain, betrayal, unhealed wounds, trauma, and the weight of toxicity—whether from the wounds of others or the brokenness of her family. Every inch of her body seemed to bear the scars of a life that had tried to break her, yet her spirit refused to yield. She was still moving toward her Father, with every ounce of strength she had left.

And then, I saw the Father. His arms were wide open, ready to receive her, to embrace her not because she was flawless, but because she was His beloved daughter, and He longed to heal her. His love was powerful, relentless, and all-encompassing. “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28). Even though her feet were filthy, even though her soul was exhausted, He did not turn her away. He welcomed her.

Tears flooded my eyes as I witnessed this moment. It wasn’t just the woman’s pain I felt—I felt the pain of the many who walk this earth, crushed by betrayal, wounded by toxic relationships, hurt by families who never understood them, and tortured by past trauma. The dream wasn’t just for her; it was for anyone who has endured emotional pain, who has been through hell and back, who has been deceived, betrayed, or abandoned. I hear God say: "I have seen your wounds. I know your pain. I have heard your cries. And now I am ready to heal you, to deliver you, and to restore you to the fullness of who you were created to be."

The scars on her feet weren’t just physical; they were symbolic of deep emotional and spiritual wounds—the kind that result from betrayal, dishonesty, and the toxic pull of broken relationships. “The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me because the LORD has anointed Me to bring good news to the poor; He has sent Me to bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound.” (Isaiah 61:1). This is the kind of breakthrough you’re walking into today: God is binding up the brokenness of your heart, He is delivering you from every toxic influence that has held you captive, and He is opening prison doors that have kept you bound in a cage of emotional pain.

The Father is saying, “Come, My daughter, My son. I will restore you. I will heal your wounds, and I will cleanse you of the toxicity that has attached itself to your heart. You have walked through betrayal, but I will bring you into a season of trust and purity. You have walked through rejection, but I will surround you with love that never fails.” It’s a powerful moment of divine healing, where the poison of betrayal, hurt, and rejection is being replaced with the healing balm of God’s love. As the woman ascends the mountain, each step she takes is prophetic. Her ascent shakes the foundations of the enemy’s kingdom. Her victory is not only personal—it is cosmic. Her triumph over every trial declares that God reigns, that His power is unmatched, and that the victory of Christ has secured her place in the Kingdom. The mountain that once seemed impossible to climb has become the platform upon which God will display His glory and His might. The victory is not in avoiding the battle—it is in the triumph over it. She will not only stand victorious; she will be crowned with a glory that will never fade. And as she reaches the summit, the Lord Jesus, in His unending love and grace, does not merely offer her comfort. He crowns her with His glory. This crown is not a fleeting adornment; it is a royal diadem, signifying her eternal authority in the Kingdom of God. She is no longer a survivor of suffering—she is a conqueror, a vessel of honor, a daughter of Zion. Her victory is not just for her—this is a victory that shakes the heavens and declares to all the world: the Redeemer lives, and He is mighty to save."

I hear God say: "Your pain does not define you. Your wounds are not the final word over your life. The things that have been stolen from you, the trust that was broken, the love that was betrayed—all of these are being restored in My time. Your breakthroughs are coming, and they will be greater than anything you have endured. Rise, daughter of Zion, rise. You are not at the end of your strength; you are at the threshold of a miracle. Every trial, every valley, every storm you have endured is preparing you for the glory that awaits. The Lord, your Redeemer, is with you. His glory will rest upon you, and it will shine brighter than the sun. You are His royal diadem. You are His vessel of honor. You are not just surviving—you are ascending into the fullness of your divine purpose. Every tear, every scar, every moment of suffering will be redeemed, and you will wear the garment of praise with strength, joy, and authority. This is not just your victory. This is the victory of the Kingdom of God, and it will be declared for all the world to see."

In this moment of divine healing, God is also moving to deliver you from the spirit of deception that has plagued your life. “For the LORD your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you victory.” (Deuteronomy 20:4). You may have been deceived by lies—whether from others or from the voice of the enemy that tried to tell you you’re not good enough or that you’re broken beyond repair. But I hear the Father say: "I am the truth, and I am the way. My truth will set you free. The spirit of deception that has been lingering around you is now broken. I will reveal the truth of who you are. I will show you the power of your identity in Me. You will walk in truth, and no lie will have dominion over you again."

As you walk toward your healing, know that the spirit of deliverance is at work. “The LORD will rescue me from every evil attack and will bring me safely to His heavenly kingdom.” (2 Timothy 4:18). God is rescuing you from the evil forces that have worked against you. Every chain that has held you back is breaking now. Every curse that has been spoken over your life is being undone. You are entering into a season of freedom and restoration like never before. This divine promise is not simply a declaration—it is a reality for all who endure. Those who wait on the Lord will rise, not in their strength, but in the power of His might. The eagle, a symbol of divine authority and strength, soars above the storms and challenges of life. It is a reminder that, though we may walk through the valley, we will not remain there. We will ascend. We will rise on wings like eagles, soaring higher than the storms that seek to pull us down.

God is calling for deliverance in relationships too. I hear God say: "I will restore the relationships that have been broken. I will deliver you from the toxic patterns, the cycles of hurt, betrayal, dishonesty, and bitterness that have kept you bound. Where there has been dishonesty, there will be truth. Where there has been betrayal, there will be reconciliation. I will heal the deep wounds in your heart, and I will show you what true love looks like—love that is pure, honest, and unwavering."

This message is not only about personal healing—it’s about a deep transformation in how you view love, relationships, and your marriage. The dream speaks of the powerful, intimate relationship we are meant to have with God, a love that transcends all hurt and disappointment. “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.” (1 Corinthians 13:4-5).

If your marriage or relationships have been marked by dishonesty, betrayal, or pain, I hear God say: "I will restore the foundation of love in your marriage. I will heal the wounds that have been inflicted. I will rebuild what has been torn down, and I will cause your relationship to flourish in My presence." Your healing will come in many forms—emotionally, spiritually, and even in your most intimate relationships. My vision of the woman walking on her knees toward God is a picture of vulnerability, surrender, and trust. It speaks to a journey of raw honesty with God—a willingness to bring every hurt, every betrayal, and every broken piece before Him. “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.” (Psalm 147:3). Your healing begins with surrender. You don’t need to hide your wounds from God. He already knows. He is waiting to restore you, to bring you into a place of wholeness, where your feet will walk with strength and grace once again.

I hear God say: "Your time of mourning is over. Your time of restoration is here. I will heal every wound, I will break every chain, and I will bring you into a season of glory, breakthrough, and victory. Trust in My timing. Trust in My love. Trust in My healing. The best is yet to come. So, I prophesy today: Your life will change forever. Healing is already taking place in your body, your heart, and your soul. You will walk in freedom, truth, and love. The betrayal, the hurt, the lies—they will not define your future. You will walk in the fullness of the purpose and destiny God has for you. Get ready for divine breakthroughs, miracles, and the restoration of everything that was lost.
