Journalling With Jesus - The Sun-Drenched Desert

Jesus, from when I returned back to England, having been in America for 21 days, it has rained almost non-stop.

It has now been over 48 hours of almost continued rain.

Jesus, I know there is a huge significance to the rain that is pouring down.

Thank You, Jesus, for rivers of living waters.

Thank You, Jesus, for watering all the seeds that are continually being planted into the hearts and minds of non-believers.

Thank You, Jesus, that you are faithful.

Thank You, Jesus, that the harvest is ready but the workers a few, but Lord Jesus, you are continuing to send more workers out into the field.

Thank You, Jesus, for my brothers and sisters across the earth who are beginning to tell complete strangers “Jesus loves you”.

Thank You, Jesus, for my brothers and sisters who are beginning to experience for the first time what it is like to be your hands and feet.

Thank You, Jesus, for giving my brothers and sisters the strength by your Spirit to go when you ask them to go.

Thank You, Jesus, that more and more of your children are beginning to live their life worthy of the calling that they have received, for they have been called by you to be your disciples.

Thank You, Jesus, for all your promises you have given me about my life and about my entire family, promises which you have already fulfilled, and promises which you are fulfilling.

Thank You, Jesus, for drawing me and my brothers and sisters closer and closer to you each day.

Thank You, Jesus, for your words that You have asked me to share, about how You desire for each of Your children to become INTENTIONALLY INTIMATE with you, Jesus, each day.

Jesus, I ask You now to take me somewhere as a little boy. Take me somewhere to give me a vision, an experience, an encounter with You, where during this experience you will give me wisdom and revelation for my life and for me to share with all my brothers and sisters.

Thank you, Jesus.

The Vision & Experience

Jesus, You have brought me as a little 8 year old boy into the middle of a huge, beautiful desert. It is just You and me.

As I look all around me I see nothing but sand.

I have never experienced this before.

As I am looking around in awe and wonder at the beauty of the sand dunes, the sun is high in the sky. There are no clouds. Although the temperature is very warm, as I am with you Jesus, and you have your left hand upon my left shoulder, I feel cool. I am the perfect temperature.

In spite of being in the middle of this desert, with the sun beating down upon us, and with us not carrying any water, I am not thirsty. I am completely hydrated, and as I look down to my feet, I see that neither of us have sandals on. I have the sand between my toes, and as I just wiggle my toes, I am just filled with so much joy to be here with You, Jesus, without anyone else around, in the middle of this vast desert, feeling completely content, peaceful and joyful.

My beloved son Paul, I have brought you here to show you that in me you have every single thing that you need in your life.

In me you never go thirsty, for I provide you and all my people each day with rivers of living waters.

One of the reasons I have brought you here is because the vastness of sand all around, signifies the vastness of my thoughts for you, my beloved child, and all my precious children, for my thoughts for each and every one of you outnumber the grains of sand.

My beloved son Paul, tell your brothers and sisters that I love them more than they can possibly comprehend.

Tell them that I desire to have all of them.

I truly desire to make my home in their hearts.

I desire all of my children to be content in me every single day.

I desire for all my children to live with my peace, which surpasses all their understanding, each and every day.

I desire for all my children to never go thirsty.

I desire for all of my children to never, ever again feel lonely, for no matter whether there is anyone in their lives at any given moment, I am always with them.

I am right by your side now, my son Paul, and I will always be by your side, and I will always be by the side of my precious children.

Tell your brothers and sisters, come to me at the beginning of each day and truly desire to be intentionally intimate with me. I am waiting with open arms to consume and overwhelm my children with my love, with my joy, with my peace.

My peace is a gift to you and to all my precious children that the world cannot give you.

Trust in me and in me alone.

My ways are higher than your ways, and my thoughts are more than anything that you can think or imagine, so lean not on your own understanding.

Trust me.

My way is perfect.
